Traditional Acupuncture
Supporting the body's natural ability to regulate, recover and restore balance
Intro
Traditional acupuncture is a treatment method within Traditional Chinese Medicine.
It supports the body's natural ability to regulate, recover and restore balance — and can be helpful for many different health concerns.
As a qualified Chinese medicine practitioner, I use pattern-based diagnosis and personalised treatment.
I work with a wide range of conditions, and pain-related issues are one of my main areas of focus.
What happens in a session (60 minutes)
A typical session lasts 60 minutes and follows a clear structure:
We begin with a short conversation about your main concern and overall health.
This includes tongue observation and pulse diagnosis, and may also involve palpation when necessary.
Needles are applied based on your individual pattern and symptoms.
Needles are usually retained for around 20 minutes, allowing the body to settle and respond.
Depending on your situation, treatment may also include cupping, tuina massage, or gua sha.
Examples of concerns I commonly treat
Traditional Chinese medicine can support a wide range of health concerns. Some common examples include:
neck/shoulder/back pain, joint pain, headaches, etc.
whole-body tightness, sore muscles, limited mobility, etc.
restlessness, tight chest, overwhelm, etc.
difficulty falling asleep, light sleep, waking at night, etc.
bloating, reflux, irregular bowel movements, etc.
menstrual discomfort, PMS, cycle-related symptoms, etc.
seasonal allergies, hay fever/pollen allergy, etc.
eczema, herpes outbreaks, psoriasis, urticaria/hives, etc.
early-stage cold, sore throat, feverish feeling, etc.
palpitations, high blood pressure, chest tightness, etc.
If you're unsure whether acupuncture is suitable for your situation, you're welcome to book a first visit for assessment.
