Terms of Service

Welcome to Chinese Wellbeing Center. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your relationship with Chinese Wellbeing Center and outline the rules and guidelines for using our services. By booking an appointment or receiving treatment from us, you agree to these Terms.

1. Services Provided

Chinese Wellbeing Center provides traditional Chinese medicine services including but not limited to:

  • Acupuncture treatment
  • Chinese herbal medicine consultation
  • TCM manual therapy (including cupping and gua sha)
  • Moxibustion therapy
  • Facial balance acupuncture
  • Lifestyle and dietary advice based on TCM principles

2. Appointments and Scheduling

Booking

Appointments can be booked through our website, by phone, or by email. All appointments require advance booking and are subject to availability.

Cancellation Policy

We require at least 24 hours' notice for appointment cancellations. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice may be subject to a cancellation fee equivalent to 50% of the treatment cost.

No-Shows

Failure to attend a scheduled appointment without prior notice will result in a charge equivalent to the full treatment cost.

Late Arrivals

If you arrive late for your appointment, we will do our best to provide the full treatment, but we may need to end the session at the originally scheduled time to accommodate the next patient.

3. Payment Terms

Fees

Our current fees are as follows:

  • First Visit (Intake + Treatment): €75
  • Follow-up Treatment: €65
  • Facial Balance Acupuncture: Price varies based on treatment plan
  • Chinese Herbal Products: Priced individually

Payment Methods

We accept the following payment methods:

  • Cash
  • Bank transfer
  • Mobile payment apps (as available)

Insurance

Some Dutch insurance providers may reimburse acupuncture treatments through supplementary insurance. It is your responsibility to verify your coverage before treatment. We can provide receipts for insurance claims upon request.

4. Patient Responsibilities

To ensure the best possible treatment outcomes, patients are expected to:

  • Provide complete and accurate health information
  • Inform us of any changes in health status or medications
  • Follow recommended treatment plans and aftercare advice
  • Arrive on time for scheduled appointments
  • Provide at least 24 hours' notice for cancellations
  • Treat staff and other patients with respect

5. Treatment Considerations

Health Disclosure

You must inform us of any existing health conditions, medications, pregnancy (or possibility of pregnancy), allergies, or other relevant health information before treatment begins.

Treatment Consent

By receiving treatment, you consent to the application of traditional Chinese medicine therapies. You have the right to refuse any specific treatment technique at any time.

Treatment Reactions

While generally safe, some treatments may cause temporary reactions including:

  • Mild soreness or bruising at needle sites
  • Temporary discoloration from cupping or gua sha
  • Temporary changes in symptoms as part of the healing process
  • Mild dizziness or fatigue after treatment

Important: If you experience severe or concerning reactions after treatment, please contact us immediately or seek appropriate medical care.

6. Limitations of Service

Scope of Practice

Chinese Wellbeing Center provides complementary healthcare services. Our practitioners are not medical doctors and do not:

  • Diagnose Western medical conditions
  • Prescribe prescription medications
  • Perform medical procedures
  • Provide emergency medical care

Emergency Situations

In case of medical emergency, please contact emergency services immediately at 112. Our practice is not equipped to handle medical emergencies.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on our website, including text, images, logos, and educational materials, is the property of Chinese Wellbeing Center and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not use, reproduce, or distribute our content without prior written permission.

8. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Our collection, use, and protection of your personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is available on our website. By using our services, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in our Privacy Policy.

9. Limitation of Liability

Chinese Wellbeing Center and its practitioners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from or related to your use of our services. Our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

10. Termination of Service

We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue treatment to any patient at our discretion, particularly if:

  • The patient fails to follow treatment recommendations
  • There is non-payment for services rendered
  • The patient behaves inappropriately toward staff or other patients
  • The treatment is no longer appropriate or beneficial

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website. Your continued use of our services after such changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
